🕐 New Product Ideas
A missing coat hook in our first California led to my invention of the well-known hooks for the pop-up roof, our ABHÄNG.
Why drill into your bus? From my incomprehension of this and the limited headroom under the market roof cabinets, our EINFACH was born.
Every idea matures between my own ears, from actual need and missing solutions.
🕑 Thoughtful Product Design
Initial sketches turn into prototypes made of cardboard.
Once I'm convinced, I construct it using CAD, based on the already specific dimensions.
The design is then implemented and tested with 3D printing, on the sewing machine, or in the workshop.
In the refinement process, I remove unnecessary parts from the design.
🕒Tested in Camping Life
Nicole and I take new accessories on tour directly with our bumblebee (aka T6 California Beach).
Is a contour not perfect, or is a feature not used while camping?
If so, it gets adjusted and tested again. And possibly again...
Only what convinces us over a season and proves its value gets produced.

You can simply hang the DURSTIG bus fabric cup holder on the rail of the kitchen unit in the VW California or Multivan - T5, T6 and T6.1.
In the VW California Beach and Multivan, you simply hang it in the multi-purpose rail in the panelling on the driver's side.
Works great :))
The cup holder fits glasses, bottles, etc. up to 77 mm in diameter (secured for transport in the holder) or 82 x 88 mm (on the folded-down lid).
After use, it can simply be folded down and left on the rail without rattling, or it can be stored in a drawer. This leaves more space on the table when eating on the bus - great!
The items shown in the pictures in the holder are not included in the scope of delivery. The gallery shows the cup holder in use. The holder is made of plastic and 2 steel screws with nuts.
