System Profile Base Roof Vanzeit VANRAILs
VANRAIL System Profile Roof PASSTIMMER
The all-in-one profile: Clothes hooks, clothes rail, wardrobe, shelf, rack, key rail, kitchen utensil holder, magnetic strip, ... up to the overhead cabinet ... it all fits, fits always, and looks good while doing it. Checked Off ✔️ Hooks for jackets, hooks for the base cap, hooks for the backpack, hooks for Sunnersta, ... it's like with shrimp and Forrest Gump. With the unimaginative ones on Etsy and elsewhere, you can find them all. Few hold, most look like they are, and - "strangely" - they all look the same. Now you can surf, research, compare, ... and waste your time to find the best for you. It's the same sauce. "Yes, but my idea doesn't fit there anyway." Why isn't there just a single way for me to attach what I like? You've found it. The one to hold them all I've tried it all... Airline tracks, C-tracks, rack tracks, sliding tracks, groove profiles up and down... Both in appearance - aluminum silver, anodized - and in function, this profile has proven itself in our camping for years. You might already know it from its use in my simple roof cabinet for hanging under the pop-up roof. The lightweight profile is made of aluminum, has a 6mm groove, and allows mounting with normal machine screws along its entire length (590 mm). It accommodates M3, M4, M5, and M6 threads. You simply insert a T-slot nut of your choice into the profile where you want it and tighten your accessory with a screw. It's as simple as that. Machine What? Machine? Yes, that's an unbeatable advantage. In times of half-blind and brain-dead post-turtles ( aka politicians in Germany ), where inflation outside the statistical basket knows no bounds, and procurement only knows red lines... ... having a standardized part from mechanical engineering that remains available for the foreseeable future is a dream. And there's no need for a "fact check":In mechanical engineering internationally proven for decades - this part holds. Rock solid. Up to the Roof Under the pop-up roof, the VANRAIL system profile finds secure support on the proven profiles of my "old Swede." 2mm stainless steel even supports a full-grown pull-up in the sliding door. Look who's hanging there... Two profiles (1x base and 1x extension) fit next to each other on each side, giving you the full available width below the headliner for mounting. A connector joins them simply. At VANZEIT ®, of course Of course, the VANRAILs fit on both the driver's side and the passenger's side. To protect the bed frame and the interior of your VW California, the backs of the two attachments in the pop-up roof are felted. The roof can, of course, be closed with the rail mounted. Inspiration Nicole and I have tested which furnishings in camper's everyday life fit on the VANRAIL and make your bus life easier. Practical: magnetic strip for, e.g., cutlery above the mini kitchen A handle knob as a coat hook ... endless variations :)) Now a basic: IKEA Sunnersta rod How about a tablet holder, IKEA Good for dish towels, hand towels, ... Always at hand :] (Soap) dish for small items, e.g., the keychain Elegant! Steel clothes rod Super stable clothes hooks for the wardrobe For some, a picture ledge, for others, probably the cheapest shelf Do you already have an idea of what you'll attach to your VANRAIL?Feel free to write to me with an email. I look forward to it! I will add additional IKEA hacks with the system profile and other furnishings from the blue-yellow furniture store in the campervan to the blog post with my DIY bus hacks for VW California.

What makes VANZEIT ® products so special?

We think differently.

Just one click away, you'll find the same old offerings, often with little practical function and even less understanding from the sellers.

Why? They are neither campers nor manufacturers. The copy is cheap, and you'll end up buying it twice...

You've arrived at the source.

1. New Product Ideas

A missing coat hook in our first California led to my invention of the well-known hooks for the pop-up roof, our ABHÄNG.

Why drill into the Bus? Our EINFACH was born out of my lack of understanding for this and the limited headroom under the overhead lockers on the market.

Every idea matures between our own ears, from actual need and missing solutions.

2. Thoughtful Product Design

First sketches lead to prototypes made of paper and cardboard.

When I am convinced, I design based on the already concrete measurements in CAD.

Using 3D printing, the sewing machine, or our workshop, the design is then being build and tested.

In the final touch, I streamline the design by eliminating unnecessary parts.

3. Tested in everyday camping

Nicole and I take new accessories directly on tour with our bumblebee (aka T6 California Beach).

If a contour is not perfect, or a functionality is not being used at all during camping?

Then it is adjusted and tested again. And if necessary, again...

Only what convinces us during in a season and proves its value is getting produced.

4. Locally manufactured in Northern Germany

We have found our production partners within a few kilometers.

This guarantees short distances and quick, personal agreements with a handshake.

Small series production ensures quick adjustments, even with your suggestions.

5. Certainly More Freedom

Focusing on the essentials gives you more space.

Less ballast means less fuel consumption. You go further.

Simple designs integrate timelessly into your individual setup.

Organization with a system relaxes. Stuffing was yesterday, today you can safely stow your equipment - and find it again tomorrow.

Have a great vacation and a wonderful VANZEIT ®!

The multi-functional stainless steel #Calihaken ALTERSCHWEDE is simply hooked into the pop-up roof of the Volkswagen California Bus above the support for the bed.

Off into the pop-up roof

The multi-function hook fits in VW T5, T6 and T6.1 California - Beach, Beach Tour, Comfortline, Coast and Ocean.
It is also suitable for other, original Volkswagen pop-up roofs, e.g. the one in the SpaceCamper Limited.

The bed height remains unaffected, the clothes hook can remain in place when the roof is closed and is then fixed. When the roof and bed are up, you can simply move the hook, e.g. to quickly move coats hanging on it from the front in front of the door to the back.
The felt-covered underside prevents slipping and protects the panelling.

One hook - X functions

Simply ingenious & ingeniously simple - the perforation in the hook:
For example, simply screw the IKEA Sunnersta clothes rail (* #ikeahack) underneath - with two M5 screws. This way, the rod sits firmly. Both hooks remain available.
If a 10 mm round rod is to be used as a clothes rail instead, it is simply fixed into the Cali hooks from below with suitable screws. Top!

With the FLOTTEKLAMOTTE addon, two hooks become 5 or 7 in no time at all for a mini wardrobe. Of course, strong enough for shopping, backpacks and winter clothes.

The hook width of the ALTERSCHWEDE coat hook is 10 mm. Jackets and other items of clothing with an existing loop fit on it. Insert a crossbar with a suitable diameter and - *snap* - you have a super clothes rail for hanging hangers, containers, simple S-hooks and, and, and .... :)

Alter Schwede (Gosh!)!

Made of 2 mm, satin-finished stainless steel1, even camera bags, toilet bags, handbags (aka 2 rooms, kitchen, bathroom ;) ) and full backpacks don't impress the old Swede.
Strong!

Something's hanging! Lukas on the fingerboard on two of our hooks.

He even holds a fingerboard with climbers ... is simply the strongest!

The article pictures also show the Calihook in use in a VW California. Accessories attached in the pictures and seen next to the article are not included in the scope of delivery.

1 We have consciously chosen steel as a material and for our environment! Its extraction is much more environmentally friendly compared to aluminium. Once shaped, steel is stable and in the alloy chosen, the headlining remains without residue. After use, steel can be recycled effectively and efficiently, so it can be reused with little resource input.

With the choice of material - stainless steel - we save the process of anodising or (powder) painting as it would be needed with aluminium. This also protects the environment in which we all like to travel and as we would like to leave it to our children.
