1. New Product Ideas
A missing coat hook in our first California led to my invention of the well-known hooks for the pop-up roof, our ABHÄNG.
Why drill into the Bus? Our EINFACH was born out of my lack of understanding for this and the limited headroom under the overhead lockers on the market.
Every idea matures between our own ears, from actual need and missing solutions.
2. Thoughtful Product Design
First sketches lead to prototypes made of cardboard.
When I am convinced, I design based on the already concrete measurements in CAD.
Using 3D printing, the sewing machine, or our workshop, the design is then being build and tested.
In the final touch, I streamline the design by eliminating unnecessary parts.
3. Tested in everyday camping
Nicole and I take new accessories directly on tour with our bumblebee (aka T6 California Beach).
If a contour is not perfect, or a functionality is not being used at all during camping?
Then it is adjusted and tested again. And if necessary, again...
Only what convinces us during in a season and proves its value is getting produced.
4. Locally manufactured in Northern Germany
We have found our production partners within a few kilometers.
This guarantees short distances and quick, personal agreements with a handshake.
Small series production ensures quick adjustments, even with your suggestions.

Who doesn't miss the third hand when closing the slatted blind to the pop-up roof?
One side is always stuck and opening and closing is no fun.
No more jamming the roller blind on the pop-up roof!
With the VANZEIT ® KURT for a belt on the catch strap for the pop-up roof, closing the slatted roller blind works like clockwork and it no longer gets stuck.
PLUS: When the roof is open, KURT holds the catch hook up for you so that the blind can also be easily pulled shut from above, out of the tent bellows and for sleeping.
At the bottom, no one has to be bothered or bumped by the hook.
The tight rubber cord secures the strap and hook of the pop-up roof and comes in sunny yellow. The contrast between the signal colour and the black strap reminds you of the previous use of KURT.
The best thing at the end: KURT comes in a double pack of 2 pieces - 1x for the left and 1x for the right side - in your Cali, but is still not called LOTTCHEN.
